One of my favorite moments so far was watching a group of students who normally struggle with multiplication excitedly coaching each other through a 24 Game challenge. They weren't just practicing math—they were collaborating, encouraging each other, and having real fun with numbers.\r\n\r\nThe digital wall clock has already changed the tone of our transitions. Students now keep track of their center rotations without prompts, and several have proudly said, \"I switched on time today!\" The math-themed stickers have become tiny badges of honor; even my reluctant learners beam when they earn one for persistence. The Breathing Buddha has quickly become our reset station—students use it for a minute or two when they feel overwhelmed, and it helps them rejoin learning calmly and confidently. The microwave and granola bars have also made a meaningful impact, especially for students who come in hungry. Being able to meet that need immediately helps them start the day focused and ready.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our unit on multiplication and division strategies, these tools are helping students build the fluency and confidence they need to tackle multi-step problems. Our next steps involve applying these skills to real-world scenarios through math projects and small-group challenges. All of my classes were excited to have the bins at each table because they were tired of all having to share the same bin with each other. Each table has 4 students and they can retrieve all of their materials without getting up and walking across the room.
