This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Individual cells are smaller than the eye can see. Even with a standard microscope, it is impossible to see all the organelles that function to keep us alive. Cell biology is a topic that students have many questions about, because they know cells are crucial to the way we live our lives.

Teaching something that is impossible to see can be difficult without a proper model.

Having large models of animal and plant cells will help students in identifying the different organelles, understand how their form fits their function, and explain the similarities and differences of the two types of cells. Miscellaneous laboratory items will also aid the hands-on and visual learners in their learning experience.
