I would like to enrich our school library with new books about Earth Day featuring animals and nature. Gaylord Nelson was a Wisconsin native and the creator of the very first Earth Day. School libraries make these resources available to the next generation of citizens.
Many of my students come from print poor households where books are not readily available.
The library serves as an important resource to students to be able to check out books for research and recreational reading. By creating an eye catching display of books and posters students will be enticed to check out something new from the library. These books will not only enhance our school library, but will inspire my students to become better stewards of our neighborhoods, state, country and world.
