Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Students

I teach in an urban setting.

Many of my students are from low-income homes. I love that my students come to school every day and want to learn even though they have many outside obstacles in their way. I want to be able to ensure every child receives an excellent education. With these donations, every child will be academically and emotionally prepared.

My Project

I teach a reading program in hopes to improve my students' reading abilities. Giving them books by diverse authors/graphic novels will make reading fun and memorable and will enhance their learning. My students show growth in their reading when they find books that they like and interest them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
