Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love coming to school every day. I teach 24 wonderful and enthusiastic kindergartners. A majority of my students are English Language Learners, with Spanish or Vietnamese as their first language.
My school is a Title I school, in California.
A full 81% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. My students may not have many material things, but they always try their best and never give up. They are hard workers, and I am so proud of my students!
My Project
My students have accomplished so such this school year. Most of my students entered school not knowing how to write their name or count to 10. With only a few months left in school, my students have made tremendous progress academically and socially. They are starting to read simple grade level books and in math they can solve simple addition and subtraction problems. I am very proud of how far they have come. To celebrate their accomplishments and hardwork, I am asking for promotion decorations for their promotion in June. I want to make this ceremony special and unforgettable for my awesome students. I can’t wait to see their faces on promotion day. Thank you for making all this possible.
