My Project

Pi Day (March 14th) celebrates the mathematical constant used to find the circumference (area) of a circle. Additionally, it is the birthday of one of the most well-known mathematicians, Albert Einstein. Join us as we prepare new mathematical and literacy-rich experiences for our students as we celebrate Pi Day from grades K-5.

To enrich student learning, our school is organizing a day of activities highlighting the concept of Pi while reinforcing their skills in literacy and mathematics using real-life scenarios.

We need new books and other educational supplies for all grade levels to accomplish our goal.

After a day of enrichment focusing on circles for grades K-2, and a more mathematical approach in grades 3-5, our celebration will conclude with a literacy and math night at a local grocery store that has partnered with us to bring our learning to life.
