Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of my students are Hispanic English Language Learners. They are not familiar with the special Mexican Holiday of Cinco de Mayo. They confuse this holiday with Mexico's Independence. I want to spend a week teaching my students the importance of Cinco de Mayo and how this changed the outcome of Mexico. I want them to learn history.

Let's celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

I want each of my students to make a mini pinata and the candy will be used for this. The string will be used to hang their pinatas. I also need the tissue paper so they can decorate their pinatas. I need the plates so we can celebrate with a good sweet treat and the ziploc bags to fill them up with goodies.
