My Project

Seeing Black History decorations in the learning environment helps students feel represented, valued, and connected to what they are learning. During Black History Month, these visuals spark curiosity and meaningful conversations about people, events, and contributions that shape our world.

The Black History Month decorations support teaching the intersection of Black history and American history, showing students that these stories are shared and connected.

All students benefit by gaining knowledge, building respect, and developing a deeper understanding of history. We are requesting a Black History Month Bulletin Board and Posters.

A culturally rich environment encourages pride, empathy, and engagement, helping students see themselves as part of a larger historical story.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
