Help! We are in desperate need of a CD player in our Pre-K Special Needs class. We are a title one low income school in Columbus County, NC. The children in our class are 3, 4,and 5 year olds with special needs. Our children learn best when concepts and pre-academic skill are combined with music. We have many CD's that we love to use to teach with but recently our CD player died. We have used it for 10 years and it was used several times everyday. We miss it so very much. Our kids love to sing and dance, one of their favorite is the Tooty Ta by Dr. Jean Feldman. Without a CD player to play our CD's our students will miss out on so much. I am writing this grant in hopes to get a CD player so our special children can once again Tooty Ta! My students benefit greatly from the concepts and skills they learn through music. It makes learning the basics like colors, numbers, and the alphabet so much more fun. We would be able to use it for many many year with many children. Thanks for considering our proposal.
