Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher at a school with a diverse population. We serve middle-class students, military students, and low-income families. No matter the background, my students come to school ready to learn. They love to learn new things, they love to read, and they love to explore. It is my job to make sure this zest for learning never dies.

My superheroes have encouraged me to grow as a teacher!

They continually surprise me, on a daily basis, with their ability to learn and grasp concepts! I wouldn't change my job in a million years! My students leave an imprint on my heart, for they are kind, affectionate, and loving!

My Project

This year I have begun to incorporate STEM into my kindergarten classroom, and my superheroes have soared because of it! They are problem solvers, critical thinkers, and confident first graders! The growth that I have seen physically, emotionally, and intellectually has been amazing to watch! I couldn't be more proud to teach these future first-graders! Now, my goal is to create a Makerspace for my classroom!

The Spheros, Wonder Dash and Ozobots accessories, and the Bloxel video game I am requesting will be a nice addition to the Makerspace I am creating in my classroom!

The spheros are small and durable for everyday use in the classroom. They are easy enough for my kindergarteners to code and move about, and that is why they will make a nice addition to my classroom! The wonder dash and ozobot accessories will be a nice addition as they will allow my students to code using the xylophone and launcher. These accessories will ignite my students curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. The Bloxel game will allow my students to create their very own video game! My superheroes will be able to create their own character, setting, and course! Once they create this world, they will be able to play the game they created!

To my future donors, I hope that you will consider donating to this project, as I am trying to incorporate 21st century skills in the classroom through a Makerspace! I am trying to ignite a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in my superheroes! Please help me by taking this journey with me!
