Our school is a Title 1 school and many of our students are from poverty-stricken homes that have limited resources. Our students work hard in everything that they do and always give one hundred percent effort. Given an opportunity and a little bit of help can make an everlasting impact on their lives.
My Project
Our county recreation department has started a pickleball league to encourage children and adults to play. I plan to teach pickleball and badminton to my students to help them stay active throughout their life. Pickleball and badminton help teach lifelong skills to all my students. I am also teaching my students volleyball and hoping they can learn to work together through these sports activities. I look forward to my students being exposed to various sports that are outside the mainstream sports that they are already exposed to.
