My Project

I have a wonderful group of students who love to read. One of the things we like to do to teach the reading standards is novel studies. Last year we read Because of Winn Dixie and The One and Only Ivan. My students love reading the books together as a class.

It is extremely beneficial to get a copy of the books in student's hands.

When doing our novel studies last year, I only had a class set of The One and Only Ivan. My students enjoyed being able to read along or read ahead. It was more effective because students were able to use their own books to find text evidence and refer back too.

I have several of the same students this year so I am looking to switch up the books that we read. I know that my students are going to love reading Charlotte's Web!
