This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

How many times have you gone back to your own high school's yearbook to look for fond memories? With the use of the digital camera and the printer, students will be able to design the school's newspaper, yearbook, and many other projects. My students will create a mural showing all of the school's activities throughout the school year. They will be able to collaborate with each other and take pictures as a group. They will decide which photos to post on the school's bulletin board. They will be able to design novel characters collages connecting their qualities with real world characteristics. As their teacher, I want them to be exposed to various ways of learning. I definitely believe that hands-on activities, movement, creating their own work, and displaying it to the community is what works for them. All this creates a sense of pride in their community and themselves. Motivation, self-esteem, pride, ownership, and many other qualities could be achieved with the access to these devices.

This digital camera will promote school's pride as well as create fond memories.

My students will be able to express their artistic qualities as well as their academics. They will be able to connect their reading experiences with real world experiences. I want my students to connect and impact the community where they live. I want them to be acknowledged for their designs and be able to feel proud about themselves. Thanks to these devices they will be able to accomplish these goals.
