My Students

"Build it and they will come," are the words I was encouraged by at the start of the school year for AP Literature and Composition. Now as another year comes to completion, I am actively looking at building my library for next year. Out of the 30 plus books recommended on the AP Literature and Composition exam, I only have enough copies for four of the titles.

It is my wish that my students are fully prepared for a very important college credit exam.

They should be afforded the same academic pieces as other comparable schools. Therefore, it is with a very grateful heart that I ask for 36 copies of The Catcher in the Rye."

My Project

"The Catcher in the Rye" will benefit the students on the AP Literature and Composition exam. This title is one of the novels suggested in the final writing piece of the exam. In the past, the students have not been able to analyze the novel through writing due to not having access to the piece. It is my hope that I can further expand their literary repertoire and fully prepare them for the exam. In addition, this is a literary classic that will help them to prepare for their future, reflect upon their past and motivate them toward making logical decisions.
