Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students and staff come to my office for extra clothing when students have accidents, spill at snack or lunch, or have been having too much fun in the snow or puddles at recess! We request families bring in extra changes of clothes or return the clothing, but that doesn't happen frequently. We go through the most clothing with our younger students in K4 and K5. It's no fun learning when you have wet or dirty clothes. Sometimes we also give students extra clothing if their families are struggling financially. We have a strong school community and want to ensure students do their best to learn while at school.
