This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are the littlest learners in the school at 4 years old. They are full of imagination, wonder and creativity. I do my best to help foster these skill by providing learning through play activities.

Our dramatic play area is a favorite place in our classroom.

We change our theme monthly from train stations, to flower shops, to vet clinics and much more. The cash register would be such a fun addition to this play area. It would also be a great way to help teach counting and money to my young students.

We are also in great need of some new scissors for our classroom. The current scissors we have are about 20 years old and falling apart. TK students need to strengthen their fine motor skills so scissors at this age are a must and we use them daily.
