This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in a public school where most of my students come from low income families. School is a second house to them. Classrooms should have materials that nurture their learning. Help me turn my new classroom into a cozy place where students feel safe. I was moved to a new classroom where we don’t have carpets for learning centers or a carpet for morning meeting. We are in need of many materials, but carpets are basic for students to sit on the floor and enjoy reading a book with their peers and a must item for them to be comfortable during our meeting time.
