Thank you for considering support to cover the startup costs for our Pre-Kindergarten Spanish Immersion class this year. My classroom is in a culturally diverse neighborhood in Washington, D.C. Our classroom has many essential early childhood materials which includes a Spanish classroom library, new block sets, and various games that students can play during center time. But because our classroom is a work-in-progress, we are still in need of grant money to make smaller purchases. The DCPS curriculum uses the new "tools of the mind" curriculum, which emphasizes play as a means of promoting self-directed learning. I would like to add a supermarket learning station. We are provided with plastic food, but I would also like 3 grocery carts and 2 grocery stands.
