My Project

My classroom comprises a wonderful and diverse group of kindergarten students from various corners of Chicago! They are brimming with excitement to learn and grow together this year. These bright, curious, and precocious children adore being at school and engaging in collective learning.

The materials I have gathered will aid in the creation of a cozy reading nook that also doubles as a calm-down corner within my classroom.

Nurturing a passion for reading from an early age is crucial. I'm optimistic that this nook, along with the books, will offer a comfortable reading space and a safe haven for them to retreat to during moments of overwhelm or heightened emotions.
