My students need a rug for a comfortable gathering place to listen to stories, share ideas, and build a classroom community.
This project expired on June 9, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach in a high poverty, surburban area where more than half of my class are on free reduced lunch. Students come and go each month. It makes it very difficult to see student progress from start to end.
Despite their circumstances, my students are hardworking and caring individuals .
My students come to school eager to learn about the world around them. They are like little sponges taking in everything you say. They enjoy science and building with their hands. With your support, you can help my students continue their path of learning to become successful in the future.
We spend a lot of time on the carpet listening to books and learning new material. It would be very beneficial to have a colorful square carpet rug where everybody knows where to sit.
This area carpet will allow students to find their spot quickly when we come together for a mini-lesson or story.
They will each have their own square so they don't have to worry about being in each other's personal space. By donating to my project, you will allow students to listen and collaborate with their classmates in their own spot. This area rug will add to our classroom environment and make it look like a bright, inviting place to learn. Please consider in helping my students succeed by having a comfortable spot to sit and learn about the world around them.
