Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are truly exceptional! They work hard to succeed. They persevere when faced with a challenge, creatively inspire our community, and believe in one another. They are tomorrow's leaders and world-changers. They are our future and together we can help them reach their dreams. More than 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. They come to a low-income Title I school every day where resources are very limited. Some of our students are unable to purchase supplies and the school is only able to do so much with the budget they have. Our students strive to do their best!
My students are energetic, smart, and motivated to succeed.
Even though they come from a variety of backgrounds, including race, religion and family structure, we all work together to create a unique learning experience, instilling a love of learning and exploring that will last a lifetime. Many of my students' parents work multiple jobs and are unable to attend school events, therefore parents are missing out of their students' successes.
My Project
My amazing students need resources for our classrooms. We have a computer lab and share a computer cart with partner teachers. This year we received a class set of iPads. I can create an enriched learning environment for every student across content areas. I have really been working on STEM and getting my students into robotics and coding. The iPads are vital to all students having the ability of being engaged.
I have requested a class set of protective cases for the iPads to help protect our technological investment so students in the years to come will also have an opportunity to utilize these rich learning experiences.

Helping students engage in STEM with the use of technology will be life changing.
The iPad is an attention grabber for students to love the technology world for STEM projects and other classes. It would be a thrill to receive cases for our equipment.
If this project is funded, I know it will make a difference to my students because it will inspire them to take care of the technology equipment. Allow them the opportunity to do something productive and entertaining rather than just playing a game. I personally think that this will really make the parents and students excited about our classroom projects because it is adding more creative technology to our classroom.
