Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students range from Freshmen to Seniors, all with Learning Disabilities/Dyslexia. We are a neighborhood school located in a low-income area. For many of our students, school is the place of comfort and where they can come to feel safe. Many of our students walk to school.
I want to support my students health and hygiene by providing them with items that will keep them warm and make them feel good about themselves which will help improve their motivation to come to school.
The laundry kits include items such as detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. This will help students with washing their clothes at home to make them feel confident coming to school. The winter item kits include hats, gloves, and neck warmers to keep them warm when walking to school, as winter approaches. Thank you in advance for your support.
