Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students range from Freshmen to Seniors, all with Learning Disabilities/Dyslexia. We are a neighborhood school located in a low-income area. For many of our students, school is the place of comfort and where they can come to feel safe.
I want to support my student's health and hygiene by providing them with items that will make them feel good about themselves which will help improve their motivation to come to school.
The toiletry hygiene kits include a variety of items that will support the students' daily routine and will make them feel good about themselves. Some of the items included in the kits are deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, mouthwash, floss, razors, and more. The variety of snacks, such as nutri-grain bars, fruit snacks, and crackers, will provide students with something to eat throughout the day to help keep them alert and engaged.
