My Project

As a new high school teacher, I will have the privilege of working with an amazing group of students who reportedly bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong desire to learn to the classroom every day. My students come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique talents and perspectives that make our learning community vibrant and dynamic. As is the nature of school in general, and specifically, the close confines of a Band or Choral rehearsal room, my students will also be bring germs with them on a daily basis.

The specific items I am requesting - hand sanitizer, Band Aids, facial tissue, face masks, trash cans, utility carts, and a first aid kit - are essential for our classroom.

Their inclusion in our learning environment will allow me to set up dedicated sanitizing stations.

My goal as a music teacher is to equip my students with the necessary musical skills needed to succeed academically and perform to the best of their ability. A key component in my goal is having them remain as healthy as possible themselves, and to reduce the chances of other music students becoming sick due to the inevitable passing of germs that will occur. With these supplies, I can ensure that the music room is a place where every student has the chance to become the dynamic performer that they are capable of being, simply by being healthy enough to do so.
