This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In Meriden, we have a newly created Career Academy program. We work with students who might not be interested in going to college, but still need skills to be valuable in today's workforce. Career Academy follows an entrepreneur model. Students create mugs and charcuterie boards and posters. We currently use a Sawgrass sublimation printer and an XTool laser engraver for our projects. We market our products within our district through our study of photography and web design. We are looking to expand our capacity with these Brother Embroidery machines so that we can market high quality clothing items.
