We are a small farm community in a high poverty area. My students are facing many challenges in the high desert area. These students are bright and eager to learn, having unlimited possibilities. They just need a safe learning environment and the resources to get it done!
With our students having such great need, we need to create opportunities to experience the world beyond our small community.
Experiences are often the best teacher, and our isolated area doesn't provide for many new ones. Transportation is often a hurdle in our community.
My Project
With sudden closures of schools all over the state many students are going through major changes. With these changes comes the hardships of missing out on regular meals. Students are feeling the added stress of these changes and hungry tummies.
I would like to send care packages to my students to let them know they are cared for and missed in these trying times.
These care packages will fill not only their bellies but their hearts. It is just a little something to let them no they have not been forgotten!
