Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a Title I school where 100% of my students receive a free breakfast, lunch, and snack. Many of my students are the recipients of food bags on the weekends as well as other resources to meet their needs. Even though they are 5 and 6, many of my kiddos are faced with challenges beyond what I can ever imagine.

My students come to school ready to work, learn, and grow their brains despite anything else that may be going on in their lives.

My Project

We love educational games and manipulatives in our classroom. As 5 and 6-year-old students, my kiddos are expected to sit still at a desk for a large portion of their day. I am constantly looking for new ways to engage them through play, fun, and laughter.

Having materials and games breaks up the day and allows us to learn through play!

Your generous donation will help support my students' learning by providing STEM games, language cards for sorting, and math manipulatives to make learning fun.

If students are enjoying what they are doing then they are more likely to stay engaged and remember what they have learned!
