Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Big Idea we have been studying this year has been Structures. We have dove deep into Bridges, Skyscrapers, Tunnels, Domes and roller coasters with a focus on how these structures are designed and built to withstand in and outside forces. With this knowledge students will be constructing their own structures using cardboard connectors and safe cutters will allow us to build large scale structures with recycled cardboard. Safe Cutters will allow student to do all the cutting rather than the teacher. Students will be required to design, measure, cut and improve their project.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
