My Students

Our smart and engaging students are interested in expanded opportunities. They want to explore their ideas with hands-on activities and resources that allow them to develop and solve problems in a way that reflects the nature of such context in real life. Our school is 100% free and reduced-price lunch.

Our students only see possibilities in the world despite the many obstacles they face outside the classroom.

Our students are bright, engaging, clever, and believe in themselves. As their teacher, I am committed to providing them with unlimited opportunities to learn.

My Project

Middle School is an awkward time for students. They're all trying to figure out who they are and how they fit in to their world. In a time where digital communication is the way most students 'talk' to each other AND coming off of 18+ months of virtual learning, our students aren't great at interacting with each other.

Help me build community in my class and strengthen students' social skills.

Card games are the perfect way for my urban students to get to know each other and learn how to appropriately communicate with their peers face to face.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
