Our Montessori Charter school serves around 130 students birth to 9th grade in a small rural area. We are continuing to out grown our current location and are working towards getting into a bigger location which we will call our forever home.

My Project
59% of car seats are installed incorrectly or misused. These materials will help our school provide a Car Seat clinic with a Certified Passenger Safety Technician to our families and great community with hopes to decrease the improper usage of car seats. The first step to ensure proper use is by weighing a child.
After market products should not be used with carseats.
Items such as a pool noodle ensure proper placement in the car. Toys can become projectiles when in a crash, by offering a plush book this provides a safer alternative to a plastic toy. Blankets are also used for positioning small infants rather than using other aftermarket products.
Having a baby doll onsite will allow us to help educate our expecting community members while they await the arrival of their child.
