Capturing Ecosystems One Snapshot at a Time

Help me give my students digital cameras to capture images of biotic factors in our biology pond ecosystem along with images of flower and frog dissections within our labs.

My Project

Digital cameras will make a big difference in our classroom labs. We will be able to use the digital cameras in our labs, such as the flower and frog dissection labs, to demonstrate the different systems and structures located throughout the dissection process.

We use our outdoor classroom/ biology pond to examine different biotic and abiotic interactions within different levels of ecosystems.

We specifically do an ecosystem scavenger hunt. Cameras will allow us to take the pictures needed for evidence of the various relationships and species within the ecosystems.

My students tried to use their chromebooks and it was a flop. The pictures did not always capture what they were wanting because there was not a way to see what was in the picture frame. It was also often times, blurry. Digital cameras were requested many times by my students for ease of snapping pictures and having great quality pictures.
