My Students

Journalism is an exciting, challenging and fun elective class for the students on the newspaper staff. The Journalism class produces the school newspaper for the students, parents, and community.

The Journalism class empowers the students in the expression of their ideas through writing, interviewing, researching, and photojournalism.

The journalism students are an enthusiastic group of students with leadership skills, and they enjoy writing and taking pictures of school events and coming up with articles about their peers, the community, and relevant school news.

My Project

The Journalism students write about and take pictures of the current trends and events that take place at school for the Howler newspaper.

Photojournalism plays an important part in the journalism process where the student photojournalists work with the writers to capture the visual representation of their stories.

The journalism photography students take pictures of school events such as school sports and performing arts. We need a wireless digital camera with a portable wireless printer to take and print pictures of school events for the school newspaper.

We do not receive school money to fund our newspaper operations and expenses, and, by donating to our class, you will help to improve and increase the students' learning of the Journalism process and give them the opportunity to learn skills that they can ultimately use after graduating from high school.
