Capturing a Creative Design!

My students need a Hewlitt Packard 3D capture stage and SD memory card to create and 3D print historical artifacts that they have researched and designed.

My Students

I have a very diverse student body consisting of Caucasian, South Asian, East Asian, Middle Eastern, and African American students. I also have English Language learners as well as some students who were refugees.

All of my students make my school a diverse and exciting place for learning.

My students are engaged young people, who are both naturally inquisitive and highly intelligent. They motivate me on a daily basis to do my best for them and are far deserving of any support.

My Project

We have acquired a HP Sprout design station. One of the features of the design station is the ability to take an object and 3D scan it to make a digital version which we then can 3D print a replica of the object. The 3D capture stage we are asking for works with the Sprout design station to create even and proper scans of the objects. We will be using this technology to create a 3D printed museum in our ancient civilizations class. Students will research and design an artifact from one of the civilizations we are studying. They will then create a version out of clay which will be scanned and printed using a 3D printer. Our goal is to create our own 3D printed museum in which students can share their artifact and knowledge with others in a gallery exhibit.
