My students come from diverse backgrounds. My main priority is to accommodate their needs. It is important for me to create an engaging and welcoming environment. I have set up my classroom to be extremely engaging for all my students as well. However, as we continue to advance into the future I would like for them to do the same.
My students LOVE technology.
They enjoy working on iPads, smartboards, computers, etc. I am hoping to be able to target their interests by including more technological aspects within my classroom. Students love to see their work published as well as using programs for which they can earn incentives on. With the vast advancements in technology, they are able to do so!
My Project
Technology should be considered a priority for educators to implement within their classrooms due to the vast advancements that have taken place in our society. Life long skills are essential for students to obtain within the field of technology. Which is seen as a prerequisite in order for students to be successful in which ever career path they choose to take. I am personally striving to reach a 1:1 student/technology ratio in the classroom.
Providing my students with Chromebooks assists them in becoming more successful in life.
By obtaining Chromebooks my students will be able to fully engage in the blended learning ideology my school holds. Our school requires our 2nd grade students to complete a typing program, ST math program, and Accelerated Reader programs. All these programs need to be completed with the use of computers.
