This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am trying to purchase a Canon Rebel T7 with important accessories to help develop our school journalism program. Over the past four years, my journalism students have created a strong school newspaper, with a culture of integrated media and audio. When we have students who have their own video and photography equipment, we are able to really integrate it nicely into our finished product. However, often this is students own personal equipment- and when they graduate, we are left starting with nothing again.

Access to professional digital cameras will allow students to create stronger multimedia articles, and enhance our flourishing school newspaper program.

We will be able to send photographers to any school event without borrowing equipment, and post them frequently.
