Help me give my students the tools they need to be successful virtual learners. Our classroom teachers need webcams to effectively use their desktop computers to teach our virtual students.

My Students

Our school is an amazing school in a high poverty area. Our students and teachers are trying their best to adapt to the challenges in education today. We love to see their smiling faces whether it be online or in person in the classroom.

The smiles we see in the mornings can brighten our days.

Even our students that have a limited grasp of the English language demonstrate their feelings through a smile. A smiling face can set the tone for an entire day of learning.

Although most of our students are from low-income families, they are motivated to do their best every day and overcome any obstacles they face. The technology being used this year has been challenging, but our students have faced these problems head on and continue to impress us with their perseverance.

My Project

The classroom teachers at our school are teaching both virtual and in person learners simultaneously. This new style of teaching has numerous hurdles to overcome, including teachers' desktop computers that are not equipped with web cams and microphones.

Our students need to be able to see what their teacher is doing in classroom when they are learning from home.

Many of our classrooms are dependent on technology, and while the computers we have function in the classroom, they are not what is needed to be successful in distance learning.

Many of our teachers are running back and forth from a laptop to a desktop to ensure students in the classroom, as well as those learners at home, can be a part of the lessons. Web cams with microphones will benefit all learners and the teachers using them.
