My classroom is filled with a wide range of grade levels, Kindergarten through fifth grade, and kiddos who enjoy being active and challenged. My students live in a variety of homes - apartments, rentals, mobile homes, and single-family homes.
As a physical educator, I make sure my classroom is inviting to students of all ability levels and all interests.
We are a Title I school with a large percentage of free/reduced-price lunch and breakfast. My students are hard working and want to learn. This makes them fun to teach.
My Project
My class is an active class and my students do not want to stop and take a quiz or test with paper and pencil. But with data becoming such a crucial part of education, I need to know if my kiddos are learning the information that I am teaching them.
The Plicker cards and pocket charts in this project will allow my class to take an assessment with just the placement of a card.
Having six charts will allow me to spread out the Plicker cards. The color labels will allow the kiddos to identify their pocket chart quickly. These labels will correspond with their row color.
This quick process will allow me to receive important data without the down time.
