My wonderful first grade class is filled with energetic and enthusiastic learners! My class is made up of twenty-four, 6- to 7-year-old children who are ready to come to school and be the best learners they can be. My students come from many backgrounds and represent many cultures. Most of my students are receive reduced-price lunch.
Our school is an amazing STEM school where we teach our students to be innovative, persistent, and creative learners.
I’ve found that because my students are different kinds of learners, they like to learn in different kinds of ways. Currently, my students will be working from home for the foreseeable future.
My Project
My students will be working from home for the foreseeable future. Many of my students will be working alongside their siblings, parents, and other family members. Based on my experience in the spring, it can be so noisy!
Not only is it noisy when my students try to participate, but it is distracting for them when they try to participate or work independently.
Having headphones will allow my students a quiet work space, even if they don't have a study nook of their own. It will also help to create positive educational spaces in their homes, which they might not have otherwise.
