My Project

We use headphones almost daily in our classroom. Our campus is 1 to 1 with ipads. The students use their ipads for assessments, online reading time, as a chance to respond to the lesson both with writing and speaking. Quality headphones would block out the background noise of the classroom and help the students be able to concentrate on their work easier resulting in a better performance on their online assessments and better listening comprehension during online reading time. Headphones are on our school supply list. The problem is, our demographic cannot always afford quality headphones (so the ones they send end up breaking very quickly) or they do not send any in.

Even though they cannot always help that their headphones break or even that their parents cannot afford headphones, it is a distraction to others in the room for their activity to be making so much noise.

For many of my students who have focusing issues, they especially struggle to get their jobs completed due to the other ipad noises.

By having a class set of quality headphones for all students, we will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material and perform at their highest.

In this technology driven world, any interaction with updated, and quality, technology will increase their learning as well as their desire to use the new technology we provide!
