Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my class are hardworking, caring, and eager to learn. They come from many different backgrounds and types of families. The majority of my class receive free or reduced-price lunches based on socioeconomic status. These students do not often get a lot of support at home. Therefore, they need a lot of extra support, attention, and love in the classroom.

It is amazing to see my students' excitement when they meet a goal or read a text they never thought they would be able to read.

They need intervention, excitement, and encouragement to be confident in themselves and grow as learners every day. I look forward to helping them grow during their 2nd-grade year.

My students enjoy being active, engaged, and excited about learning. They love doing centers, experiments, and engaging projects! They need a lot of encouragement and motivation to help them be successful and continue to grow in their learning.

My Project

When you walk into our classroom, students are often working in centers or small groups, so that I can work with groups of students on their specific needs. We have so many centers, learning programs, and activities that can be completed on Chromebooks that also meet individual student needs.

With so many different devices going at once, it can often be distracting with students are not using headphones.

My students often struggle to bring in their own set of headphones, or to bring in reliable headphones that work with our chromebooks and last longer than a week.

With the purchase of this class set, every student would have a set of reliable headphones to use for their individualized learning activities completed on computers.
