Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am so honored to teach a class of 24 amazing first grade students in a diverse, Title I community located in the inner-city. It is in one of the largest cities in the country where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. They represent many beautiful ethnicities, and come to school with a love for learning, ready to show others what they've learned.
During this pandemic, I am eager to provide them with meaningful instruction, and needed resources to support their at-home learning.
Despite our many challenges, such as technical difficulties while learning remotely, the seclusion of being away from school and friends, my little learners truly enjoy our virtual time together. They have remained 100% resilient.
My Project
We are 100% virtual, so noise-cancelling earphones are essential for my little learners. Parents trying to work from home, dogs barking, siblings on zoom, can all attribute to causes that lead to loss of focus for even the most studious learner. Therefore, noise-cancelling earphones that help block everything else out are a must have.
My students need earphones to block out noise and help them stay focused as they learn virtually.
These earphones would allow all of us to better hear each other while learning on Zoom and provide each of my little learners an equitable opportunity to a proper education. Thank you for your support. May you all stay safe and healthy during these very uncertain times.
