I teach at an urban school in Connecticut where most of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. School is the best part of many of my students' days, and I want to show them all what the world has to offer. My students come to class every day with great enthusiasm for learning. They are eager to see the stations that await their learning for the day.
My expectations for my students are high, and I teach them to continue to have high expectations of themselves since expectations are a pivotal part of their everyday learning.
My Project
My students need headphone to use during our reading and math stations. Students are asked to bring headphones to school in the beginning of the year but they unfortunately do not last very long and need to be replaced. Many of my students are unable to make this purchase again.
Listening to stories and math problems is a key component to each student success in learning.
Please help my students be able to continue to use headphones with their chromebooks and at listening stations. For reading students listen to stories and are asked to what happens in the story and to spell words. The extra headphones will help students who do not have headphones not to feel left out.
