Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Technology is the tool that will project my students into a successful future. I have 36 of the most inspiring fourth grade students. Everyday I am in awe of their creativity and ingenious ideas. Everyday they make me smile from deep within my heart. They love their Chromebooks and their eyes light up when given a project involving technology. Not all my students have access to technology in the home, so school is the one place this very important skill can be learned.
My Project
The future of my students will be a life surrounded with technology, help me to provide them with the tools they will need to be successful. In today's world all of our classroom and state assessments are all completed online. About 80% of my students classwork is done on their Chromebooks. They are learning how to produce multimedia slide shows, digital reports, research and a host of other technology projects. With our new stools and art supplies, students can work in small groups. Using our new printer stand, we can establish an area where students can print their own work and assemble in book form. Students will be able to create books using new art materials and display their work with white board magnets. My kiddos need reliable, sturdy headphones,stools, art supplies and a printer area to get this job done. Students need to take out their headphones, plug in to their technology and be assured they work and have everything at their fingertips.
