My Students

My students are curious and looking to learn. With the wide use of technology, these students are more and more interested in working with technology. They are very able to work with and manipulate the technology we use to produce their work. Their interest is everyday in technology and I want to teach them the appropriate use to make them more successful.

As with most things in life, they are not cookie cutter kids.

They come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. When I say this, it is very we have poverty high levels of income. We try to make it all equal ground and having the ability and access to technology will help in an education sense.

My Project

I love to read and love to promote reading in the classroom. We have available some online programs that help students practice reading and it's specifically on their level. Part of the program allows the students to hear modeling of words or passages in their text to help them improve. The problem is, what do you do when there aren't enough headphones to go around, who goes without?

With the donation of these headphones, you will help promote reading and allow a student to get the extra practice they need.

Not only that, it will help them become more technology literate as they will be able to fully function with their technology.
