My Project

What I love most about my 6th graders is their fierce independence and their emerging sense of self. They are at that magical middle school age where they are transitioning from children into young adults who want to take ownership of their own learning. Despite the socioeconomic challenges that come with living in a Title I community, my classroom is a place of high energy, deep curiosity, and incredible resilience.

Ours is a beautifully diverse, mixed-ability classroom that includes gifted students, English Language Learners (ELL), and exceptional students with specialized learning needs.

I want to empower them to move at their own pace in a setting tailored to their unique abilities. These tools will allow my gifted students to dive ahead into advanced work without distraction, while ensuring my ELL and exceptional students can privately access audio directions and read-alouds on their Chromebooks

By funding these durable headphones and privacy folders, you aren't just helping this year's class—you are providing a permanent classroom infrastructure that I will use to protect and enhance student focus for several years to come.
