Help me give my students a class set of headphones to enhance their learning by utilizing Study Island, Exact Path and Think Central on their computers.
I teach at a school in a large, urban district. Our students are well below poverty level and we have many that live without basic necessities such as water, heat and electricity. Despite some of my students' home situations, they all have a great desire to learn and achieve.
My students' curiosity to solve problems and their eagerness to learn new things inspires me every day.
My students are well-meaning 7th and 8th graders who would love the opportunity to be equal to other kids their age.
My Project
My 7th and 8th graders currently share headphones with the entire school. Sometimes, there are not enough headphones to go around or there are some that are not working so my students are unable to complete their assignments in Google Classroom, Think Central, Study Island and/or Exact Path.
A class set of headphones would greatly help my students!
If we could have a class set in my room, I could guarantee that all of my students are getting the information that they need through these media sources. It will maximize the students' learning time by reducing the amount of wasted time trying to find working pairs of headphones for each student. They would then be able to learn more efficiently, be more prepared and do better on their benchmark tests.
