Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are active, engaging, creative, and full of energy. They love to be challenged and are passionate about what they do. My students come to school to get away from the challenges that lie at home. They come to school with hopes of receiving love and being guided to help create a better future for themselves and their families. My students are looking for an opportunity to grow and as a teacher that inspires me to give forth my best efforts for each one of these students.
My Project
Being able to give students the opportunities to work on personal growth is the building block for self-confidence. With this purchase, we would be able to provide each student with a volleyball so that they can experience more one on one time, learn more about their own abilities, create passion, and provide students the time to believe in one’s self. Being able to have their own ball will allow them to get in more repetition on the movements they are learning. Students will be able to work on passing to themselves or a wall, practice hitting mechanics using a wall, and even practice their serving skills.
This equipment will be able to provide my students with the knowledge to learn offensive and defensive skills.
Students will be able to use the blocking pads to work on reaction time, hand-eye coordination, and hitting accuracy. The more skills learned the more students can grow as student-athlete. Finally, the ball bags/carts will be used to store the balls that are needed for the individuals.
