My Students

BMI is a predominantly African American Charter school on the Southeast side of Houston. We are a Title I school and love serving our community! Due to us being a Charter School we do not get as much funding as we would like. My awesome students are so engaged with STEAM at our school it is hard to keep them at bay. I want to give them the opportunity to have the hands on aspect of learning instead of watching others experiences on video. We had the opportunity to catch some frogs on campus and luckily they laid eggs and we were able to document and watch the entire process! The students were overly excited and even named the little tadpoles. Once it was time to release them back into nature we even had a promotion celebration for them. Seeing the students light up and stay so engaged gave me a overwhelming feeling of joy.

My Project

These PPE supplies will help keep our students safe and ready to learn. These PPE supplies will help keep our air clean, desk, doorknobs, and protect ourselves while we learn. The wipes and purifier will help so much since our students eat breakfast, lunch and have all ancillary classes inside the classroom. This classroom is our second home. Our goal is to keep it clean is our goal this school year with our ever changing world

Having the proper PPE supplies will help keep us safe and at school learning and growing!
