Can We Get A Class Pet? Students Axolotl Questions!
Help me give my students the opportunity to care for a class pet. An aquarium and tank supplies will help us achieve our goal of caring for an Axolotl!
This first-grade pirate crew is intensely interested in an Axolotl for a classroom pet. They "axolotl" questions and feel this will be the perfect pet for our class. They even wrote persuasive letters to convince me why we need this pet! Classroom pets, like a unique axolotl, are a huge benefit to have in the classroom. Caring for pets teaches compassion and responsibility as well as respect for living creatures. Classroom pets support social-emotional learning and can help with anxiety and help students during big emotional moments. Classroom pets make learning fun and can be incorporated into all academic areas including reading and writing about our pet and studying where it comes from in social sciences.
We need help with supplies such as a tank, stand, food, and accessories to properly care for our Axolotl.
Additionally, we need books that will allow further enrichment for students to learn about our Axolotl and how to care for it.
