My students need some flexible, comfortable seating options in our classroom. The rug and comfortable seating will provide some wonderful options to explore, read, and learn.

My Students
As a teacher in a small, rural school it can be a challenge to show my students the world outside their community. My students are so curious and constantly wondering about the world around them. I try to bring the world to them in our classroom.
"This is the best day ever!" is something I tend to hear when we are doing a highly engaging activity.
This can be a very funny read aloud or a new STEM activity. My students are excited to learn and discover through all types of activities. We love to read books, google information to research their questions and work with our hands. While my students' resources may be limited, I do my best to make the sure learning has no limit!
My Project
Our classroom is moving towards having more flexible seating options. It is not very fun for first graders to sit in plastic chairs all day while learning. Adding some comfortable options will help my students spread out so they have room to think and collaborate.
This DonorsChoose.org project will provide some more comfortable places to explore, read, and work together.
The rug will provide a great meeting place for our whole class as well as providing a soft place to read a book or work on a project. The flexible seating will allow the students to be comfortable but also allow them to create their own space to do their best learning.
